Third-year resident in pathology at the University of Sherbrooke, Dr. Choiniere is also a master’s degree student in research in health sciences working on a meta-analysis with a novel approach to involve patients’ values and preferences in quality assessments. In collaboration with fellow pathology residents, Dr. Choiniere is currently working on several research projects in gynecopathology, breast, pediatric and genito-urinary pathology. Implicated in promoting pathology, Dr. Choiniere is involved in teaching medical students and organized a virtual event to explore clinic-pathological correlations.

Philippe Echelard

As a fourth-year resident in pathology at the University of Sherbrooke, Dr. Echelard’s subspecialty of choice is breast pathology. With research projects in gastro-intestinal and breast pathology, Dr. Echelard is also interested on the applicability of AI tools in the field of pathology. Dr. Echelard is a firm believer in the role of the pathologist in contributing to optimal patient care in conjunction with the other members of the clinical team.

Dorothee Dal Soglio

Head of the pathology department and active member of the research center of the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sainte-Justine, Dr. Dal Soglio specializes in tumoral genotyping since her doctorate at Universite Paris XI. Dr. Dal Soglio’s research focusses on pathology, molecular biology and genetics for pediatric oncology with interests in rare pediatric tumors, placental pathologies and fetal pathology.
