Viktoryia Kazlouskaya
SUNY Downstate Medical Center
Viktoryia Kazlouskaya, MD, PhD, graduated from Vitebsk State Medical University, Belarus, and completed residency and PhD program in Dermatovenereology. She served as an assistant and associate professor at Vitebsk and Gomel State Medical Universities, Belarus. After coming to the United States, she was an international research fellow at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology and now she is a resident physician in SUNY Downstate Medical Center Dermatology Department, in Brooklyn, New York.
Kazlouskaya is a recipient of Women Dermatology Society, International Dermatology Society and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology awards, she contributed to numerous journals and textbooks including the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Journal of Dermatopathology.

Ellen M. Ginzler
SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Rheumatology Department
Ellen Ginzler, MD, earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and her master’s in public health from the Yale University School of Epidemiology and Public Health in New Haven, Connecticut. ‘ Ginzler completed her internship and residency at King’s County Hospital and Bellevue Hospital in New York. She completed her fellowship training in rheumatology at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center and in epidemiology at Yale. Ginzler is a leader in medical education and one of Downstate’s finest teachers. Her history of service to the institution spans more than 40 years. Under her guidance as chief of rheumatology since 1991, the division has gained international acclaim for its superb training and research. In 2008 she was name Distinguished Teaching Professor of Medicine at SUNY.

Edward R. Heilman
SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Dermatology Department
Edward R. Heilman, MD, received his undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University and completed preclinical years in medical school at the University of Rome, Italy. He completed his clinical years of medical school and completed his medical degree at New York Medical College 1974. He completed his internship in surgery at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine. After internship he spent next three years as a pathology resident at New York University serving as a chief resident in his final year. During his residency he was mentored by Dr. Bernard Ackerman who introduced him in the field of dermatopathology. Later in 1978, Heilman became Ackerman`s dermatopathology fellow. After that he completed the joint residency in dermatology, divided between SUNY Downstate and NYU. In 1980, Heilman became a dermatopathologist at Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, New York. In subsequent years he served as director of dermatopathology and have trained many residents, fellows and medical students that has been his most gratifying professional achievement. In early 2000s, Heilman and Ackerman re-established the dermatopathology fellowship with Downstate as the sponsoring institution. Recently Heilman took the role of the chair of the Department of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn, New York.
